Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Dice5 ("the Service"), whether through our website, an installable web app, or a native mobile application distributed via the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Dice5 is an online dice game inspired by classic Yatzy/Yahtzee mechanics. It offers single-player, asynchronous multiplayer, real-time head-to-head, campaign, tournament, and ranked modes. The Service includes leaderboards, player progression, social features, and an in-game economy based on a virtual currency called D5 Coins.

3. Eligibility & Age

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, you must have your parent or legal guardian's permission to use the Service and to make any in-app purchases.

4. User Accounts

When creating an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Be responsible for all activities under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use
• Not share, sell, or transfer your account to anyone else

You may delete your account at any time from the in-app Settings menu. Account deletion anonymizes your profile, revokes your active sessions, and removes your personal data while preserving game history records (in anonymized form) so as not to disrupt other players' leaderboards, tournament brackets, or replay archives.

5. Virtual Items, D5 Coins & In-App Purchases

Important — please read carefully:

• D5 Coins have no real-world monetary value. They are a virtual, in-game currency used solely within Dice5 to acquire cosmetic items, enter staked sessions, and unlock features.
• D5 Coins cannot be exchanged for real money or any other thing of real-world value. We do not offer cash redemption, withdrawal, refunds (except where required by law), or any cash-out mechanism for D5 Coins or virtual items.
• D5 Coins and virtual items cannot be transferred between accounts, sold to other players, traded outside the Service, or gifted, except through features we explicitly provide inside the Service.
• You receive a limited, personal, revocable, non-transferable license to use D5 Coins and virtual items inside the Service. You do not own them. We may modify, discontinue, or rebalance the in-game economy at any time without compensation.
• In-app purchases are processed by the platform you purchased on — Apple App Store, Google Play, or our web payment processor. Refund requests for purchases made through Apple or Google must be directed to those platforms in accordance with their policies.
• Pricing of D5 Coin bundles may differ between platforms (web, iOS, Android) due to differing platform fees, taxes, and currency conversions.

6. No Real-Money Gambling

Dice5 is a skill-and-chance hybrid game played for entertainment. Dice5 is not a gambling service. No real-money wagering takes place inside the Service. D5 Coin "stakes" in modes such as Lounge, Ranked, and Heads-Up are purely virtual: D5 Coins have no cash value, cannot be redeemed for money, and cannot be cashed out. Outcomes do not produce any real-world prize, payout, or anything else of monetary value. If gambling-style game mechanics are not permitted in your jurisdiction or you are under the legal age, you must not use those features.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use cheats, exploits, automation, bots, or any unauthorized third-party software
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Service
• Harass, threaten, abuse, or otherwise harm other players
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other players' accounts
• Interfere with the operation of the Service or its servers
• Create multiple accounts to manipulate leaderboards, rankings, or rewards
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice and without refund of unused virtual currency or items. You may delete your account at any time through the in-app Settings menu (see Section 4).

9. Apple App Store Additional Terms

If you obtained the Dice5 application from the Apple App Store, the following additional terms apply: (a) These Terms of Service are concluded between you and Dice Five, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the application or its content. (b) Your license to use the application is limited to use on Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. (c) Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support services for the application. (d) Apple is not responsible for any product warranties, claims of non-conformity, third-party intellectual property claims, or product liability claims relating to the application. (e) Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

10. Google Play Additional Terms

If you obtained the Dice5 application from Google Play, your use of the application is also governed by the Google Play Terms of Service. Any in-app purchases made through Google Play are processed by Google and subject to Google's refund and billing policies.

11. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dice Five and its affiliates are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or virtual items, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Finland, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of Finland, except where mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence provides otherwise.
