Delete Your Account

1. Overview
You can request deletion of your Dice5 account and associated personal data at any time. This page explains both how to do it and what happens to your data afterwards. This applies to the Dice5 web app, installable PWA, and the Dice5 Android app published on Google Play.
2. Option A — Delete in the app (recommended)
- Open the Dice5 app and sign in.
- Go to Settings.
- Open the Account section.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
Your account is marked for deletion immediately and processed within 30 days.
3. Option B — Request deletion by email
If you cannot access the app, send an email to admin@dicefive.com from the email address linked to your Dice5 account.
Please include:
- The subject line: Account deletion request
- Your player name (if known)
- A short confirmation that you want your account and personal data deleted
We may ask one verification question to confirm ownership of the account before proceeding. Requests are completed within 30 days of verification.
4. What gets deleted
- Your profile (email, display name, avatar)
- Friend connections and friend requests
- Chat messages you have sent (global chat and multiplayer chat)
- Your virtual currency (D5 Coin) balance and owned cosmetic items
- Personal preferences and settings
- Authentication identifiers linking the account to Google sign-in
5. What is kept (and why)
- Anonymised gameplay records. Completed games, tournament results, league standings, and leaderboard entries are retained in anonymised form (your name is replaced with a generic placeholder) so that opponents' records, rankings, and historical brackets remain accurate.
- Payment and accounting records. Records of real-money purchases are retained for the period required by applicable accounting and tax law (typically 6 years under Finnish law).
- Abuse and moderation logs. If your account has been involved in fraud, cheating, or moderation action, related records may be retained to enforce our Terms of Service and protect other players.
6. Timeframe
Deletion requests are processed within 30 days. In rare cases (legal hold, ongoing dispute, payment reconciliation) processing may take longer, in which case we will inform you by email.
7. After deletion
Once your account is deleted you will be signed out on all devices and will no longer be able to sign in. If you wish to play again later you will need to create a new account; previous progress, cosmetics, and balance cannot be restored.
